This is the first season championship for Joe Giulitto and “Sneeky Pete” and keeps alive a super streak where no truck has won the championship twice since the year 2000. Richard Scott and “Silver Bullet I” had been the champion in the year 2008. It also ends a string of five straight years when a Mack truck has sat atop the Big Rigs Series.

KILLER TOO is owned by Bonner Farms of Middlefield, Ohio. This is the most customized truck on the Big Rigs circuit. Powered by a V-8 Mack with 998 cubes, this ultra-sleek unit has seen very limited track time over the past few years as the Bonner Team has concentrated on their other truck named KILLER.

BAD COMPANY - September 4, 2011

BAD COMPANY was owned by John Chase and Chase Trucking of Interlaken, New York in the Finger Lakes District. Chase Trucking purchased the former John Samlock “Lone Wolf” in 2002 and retired the cab-over International. The team then converted much of the technology to use in BAD COMPANY. This truck originally had a V-8 Detroit Diesel for power and was converted to a V-12 Detroit in 2009.

This truck was sold in 2010 and does not compete with the Big Rigs.

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED is owned and operated by Dan Adams from Leetonia, Ohio. The truck finished second in the Big Rigs Series in 2010. This is a V-8 Mack with a single turbo-charger that is one of the most consistent modified semi trucks on the circuit.

Adams is an over-the-road truck driver by trade and one of the few members of the Big Rigs Series that still hauls freight for a living.

KILLER BEE is a B-83 owned by Damian Minteer from Beaverdam, Virginia. Minteer also has a residence in the Ellwood City area of Beaver County where the truck is normally housed. This truck has been returned to the street licensed division.

The antique Mack 'B Model' was quite popular with the fans even though it was built in 1965 before many of the fans were even born. Damian is originally from New Castle in Lawrence County in western Pennsylvania and has ties to that area. The Mack B-83 is powered by a 444 Cummins engine.

BESSIE. In October of 2004, BESSIE was purchased by the Poor Boys Pulling Team at Antrim Diesel in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Antrim Diesel is owned and operated by Richard Price. This team also campaigns “Thunder Dog” in the Big Rigs Series with David Frantz as the driver. Richard Price’s son, Jonathan and Frantz’ son, Jake, will be very instrumental in the evolution of the new BESSIE in 2007. The plan is to power BESSIE with a KT-600 Cummins in 2007.

BESSIE has long been one of the favorite trucks in the Big Rigs Pulling Series due to the very appealing paint scheme used on the Kenworth. Children are especially fond of BESSIE and seek autographs at every event where the ‘Cow Truck’ performs.

P.M. Counter Trucking was the owner of JUST POCKET CHANGE and the truck was operated by Pat Counter from Kennedy, New York on the southern tier. The truck is a former street legal champion in the western part of New York State. A 998 cu.in. Mack V-8 is under the hood.

In 2010 the truck was purchased by Antrim Diesel of Greencastle, Pennsylvania and was returned to the street licensed division.

BLACK DOG was owned and operated by Ross Castner from Bellonia, New York. The truck was a single charger Mack with a 998 cubic inch Mack engine. This truck was sold to Jim Brown of Caldwell, Ohio and was completely renovated. In 2008 the newly built truck was sold to Dick Bonner of Middlefield, Ohio and was renamed “Killer Too”.

Dale Mitchell from Mount Gilead, Ohio is the owner of the FREIGHT ROD modified semi truck. This the only Freightliner currently running with the Big Rigs Series. The FREIGHT ROD also participates with the Ohio State Tractor Pullers. Bill Reinhart is the driver for this semi truck.

FREIGHT ROD is powered by a 400 Cummins engine with one turbo-charger. Engine work on the truck is done at Rodgers Repair in South Zanesville, Ohio by the Rogers Team that competes with 'Unleashed'.

LADY BUTTERFLY is owned by John A. Mann Trucking of East Canton, Ohio. Powered by a V-12 Detroit Diesel with twin turbo-chargers, this Kenworth has been a very consistent in the Big Rigs Pulling Series for many years.

John competes on the NTPA circuit with the Super Semis and with the Big Rigs Pulling Series during the summer months.

The LADY BUTTERFLY has pre-committed to run the entire NTPA Super Semi series in 2011.

THUNDER DOG was the Big Rigs Pulling Series Champion for 2006. The truck is owned by Antrim Diesel in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Dave Frantz of Marion, Pennsylvania is the driver of a this Big Rig Semi that debuted in 2001. This cab-over Mack is powered by a multi turbo-charged 998 cubic inch Mack engine. Dave is one of the ace mechanics at Richard Price’s Antrim Diesel inChambersburg – the builders of the truck.

The SCALDED DOG is a 'project truck' that is owned by the Bonner Pulling Team from Middlefield, Ohio. This modified semi was a regular on the Ohio State single charger circuit in 2002 and 2003 when it was owned by an excavator from the Columbus suburbs. It was purchased by the Bonner Team in mid-2007 and competed at a few events with Bonner's brother running the truck. In 2008 SCALDED DOG operation was taken over by Casey Francis from LeRoy, Ohio. Casey is the son of Dale Francis from Francis Engineering. The truck has a single charger Mack V-8 for power.

SILVER BULLET I was the original modified semi truck built by the Sanders’ Pulling Team in Ravenna, Ohio. This truck began to pull with the Big Rigs Pulling Series fifteen years ago and has been one of the most popular trucks to ever compete in the series. This truck was an experiment to see if a V-12 Detroit Diesel could be competitive with the other Big Rigs. Fred Sanders tried every conceivable trick to try to make theDetroit work in his Mack, but the engine failed on many occasions. Finally in 2005 after a tremendous disintegration the Detroit was finally laid to rest. Once the all new Francis’ Engineering built V-8 Mack was installed in SILVER BULLET I, the truck became a true force in the Big Rigs Series.
