SCALDED DOG
Jan 20 2009

The SCALDED DOG is a 'project truck' that is owned by the Bonner Pulling Team from Middlefield, Ohio. This modified semi was a regular on the Ohio State single charger circuit in 2002 and 2003 when it was owned by an excavator from the Columbus suburbs. It was purchased by the Bonner Team in mid-2007 and competed at a few events with Bonner's brother running the truck. In 2008 SCALDED DOG operation was taken over by 17 year old Casey Francis from LeRoy, Ohio. Casey is the son of Dale Francis from Francis Engineering - the builder of the national champion semi truck "Killer". The total responsibility for maintaining the truck and for driving the truck lies with the very knowledgeable youngster.
SCALDED DOG is a 998 cubic inch V-8 Mack. As time goes by Casey Francis has managed to put some very nice high-performance parts into the truck and the performance of the truck has improved. Casey and SCALED DOG had a very nice top five finish at the Big Rigs 'Finals' at the Bloomsburg Fair in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania at the end of September.
